Her paintings are made using a variety of media often with metallic elements that alter in differing lights. She graduated in 2002 with a First in Fine Art and the knowledge, that she wanted her work, paintings and installations, to be based on different locations. They are reflections of her experience of different cultures and environments and research from her studio.
Various aspects of places she has spent time in, from power stations to far flung temples, from Cuba to India and Australia, provide inspiration and result in paintings that contain elements of both realism and abstraction.
Diverse places dictate diverse responses, so a body of work may at first glance seem different from other series of her work, but there is a commonality of mark-making and the use of layers both in meaning and process. She exhibits regularly and paintings are purchased by large businesses and for residential settings both here and abroad. Commissions are taken.
She also has sculptural work permanently at Conkers Discovery Centre for the Heart of the National Forest.
